To mark 2008 as the Year
of the Potato, Savour Kilkenny Food Festival is organising a schools
cooking competition.
The brief is simple…create a tasty dish that features potato
as the main ingredient.
There are two sections
- Primary Schools
- Secondary Schools
The first prize in each section will be €100 in book tokens
and the runners up will receive certificates.

Closing date 10th October
The six students with the best recipes will be selected to
cook their dish at Ryeland House Cookery School during
the third week in October. The winner will be announced at the
launch of the festival on October 24th
