Join Ireland’s leading menopause expert Catherine O’Keeffe AKA ‘The Wellness Warrior’ who will chat with medical doctor and menopause advisor Dr Brenda Moran about this sometimes-challenging phase of life for many women and their families.
With food at the centre of the discussion, this event will look at the optimum diet for menopause and beyond. As well as discussing the crucial foods to be consumed during menopause, Catherine will host a live Q&A on any aspect of menopause.
Joining the duo is Latin-American-born TV chef and food writer Jeeny Maltese who will demonstrate some easy recipes for you to re-create at home. Jeeny is passionate about good eating and good food, making it accessible and approachable for everyone, through her cooking methods and philosophy.
This will be a morning to explore, understand and learn how to thrive during menopause.
Biographies
Dr Brenda Moran worked in Hospital Medicine in both Ireland and Australia before embarking on a career in General Practice, qualifying as a GP in 2013.
She has a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (UK) and in 2017, she enrolled in the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare’s Advanced Certificate in the Menopause.
Dr Moran completed her training in December 2018 and is now qualified to establish, develop, and lead a menopause clinic and service. She is a recognised British Menopause Society Accredited Menopause Specialist.
She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners, British Menopause Society, and a diplomate member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. Her aspiration is for all women to be able to avail of good quality Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare throughout their life transitions.
Jeeny Maltese is a Latin-American born TV chef and food writer. Regularly Featured as a celebrity chef on RTE One, on the “Today Show with Maura & Daithi” and Virgin Media One on “The Six O’Clock Show”.
TV chef, food writer and co-founder of My Nutrition Ireland, With live cookery demos, talks and events on her resume. Featuring on top sold-out events nationwide.
